Erlend Bullvåg KPB

Erlend Bullvåg is the CEO of the analysis and innovation company Kunnskapsparken Bodø (KPB) and an associate professor at Bodø Graduate School of Business in the field of Entrepreneurship. His educational background includes an MSc in Business from Nord University and PhD from NTNU in Trondheim. Bullvåg is the project manager for the Indeks Nordland and for Business Index North projects. Both mapping business development, innovation, demography and societal development in Nordland and Northern Scandinavia. He has also conducted in-depth analyses of the Norwegian fishery and aquaculture industry. Bullvag served as Dean for Bodø Graduate School of business before taking over as CEO for KPB in Bodø.

Fredrik Korpe is working for Innovation Norway as the Head of Department at Invest in Norway, responsible for the Nordland region. The mission is to get foreign companies to establish and connect foreign investors to local companies with export potential. He has a Masters's degree in Chemical Engineering and came to Innovation Norway in 2021 from the water treatment company Mivanor AS, a company he started in 2014. He was the CEO for five years. From 2011 he was the CEO of the waste management company Iris Produksjon AS. He has worked in the aquaculture industry regarding waste and water treatment issues in both recent roles.

Ann Cecilie Ursin Hilling holds an M.Sc in Aquaculture and is currently working as an Innovation Manager at NCE Aquaculture. She has known the Aquaculture industry her whole life and started her career as a sales manager for net equipment in northern Norway today works with innovation and research in Norway’s oldest Aquaculture cluster NCE Aquaculture. Her ambitions are being able to contribute to a growing aquaculture industry where top technology and the finest biology continue to interact and help feed a growing population with healthy food.

Mikkel Pedersen Probotic

Pedersen has specialized in fish pen net inspection and cleaning for the last seven years. With thousands of hours of piloting ROVs and cleaner robotics, Pedersen represents expert problem knowledge from the sea stage of salmon farming. Mikkel has a military background and much field experience from different research projects regarding salmon biology. Mikkel now dreams of the day with thousands of underwater drones working on automating fish farming and providing ocean insights.

David Lunn Revena

Director

David Lunn, PhD - David is co-founder and director of Revena, a technical consultancy and network that supports deep tech investors and companies. A former academic (Universities of Oxford, Bristol, and California), he has over 30 papers and patents in polymer chemistry, materials science, and biotechnology. He is an active translational scientist, has worked with a range of large and small companies (incl. Dow Chemical and OxSyBio), and is a technical advisor to multiple science-focused companies where he supports research and development of novel intellectual property.

Principal Scientist

Catherine Machalaba is the Principal Scientist for Health and Policy at the conservation and global health organization EcoHealth Alliance. She was a lead author of the World Bank Operational Framework for Strengthening Human, Animal and Environmental Public Health Systems at their Interface (“One Health Operational Framework”), published in 2018 to assist countries and donor institutions in implementing One Health approaches. She is a member of the One Health High-Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP). Catherine holds an undergraduate degree in biology, a master’s in public health from Dartmouth, and a PhD in environmental and planetary health sciences. She is from Woodstock, Vermont.

Eldar Bendiksen,  PhD - Eldar has over 30 years of experience in the salmon industry. He started his career on fish farms and since, has combined academic research at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) with technical roles in the private sector. He has held key positions at feed suppliers, BioMar and Nutreco/Skretting, and worked at SalMar, one of the world’s largest salmon farms. Eldar founded and heads AquaNutrition, a consultancy focusing on fish nutrition, animal welfare, growth and profitability.

Marie-Christine is a molecular biologist and specialist in sustainable finance. Before her work with BioFeyn, she founded an addiction treatment application company, SoberLife, a sustainability-focused food start-up, and worked as an advisor to Global Changemakers, a non-profit that fosters social entrepreneurship in youth. She worked for a decade in sustainable investment and private equity at LGT Capital Partners. Marie has a PhD from the MRC-LMB at Cambridge University and is separately trained as a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Timothy has degrees in biology, bioethics, geography, and medicine from Tufts, Harvard, Oxford, and Duke.
